It is with great excitement and pleasure we announce that Dr. Yona Vandersluis-Solomon will be joining our practice as an Orthodontic associate in May 2024.
Dr. Vandersluis-Solomon graduated from the Faculty of Dentistry at the University of Toronto and completed a residency at the Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto. Her focus was treating children with craniofacial anomalies, complicated medical conditions, and special needs. Yona then went on to complete her specialty training in Orthodontics with a Master of Science at the University of Toronto. Dr. Vandersluis-Solomon currently teaches as a clinical instructor in the Orthodontic Program at the University of Toronto, and is also a staff Orthodontist at Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation Hospital. Dr. Vandersluis-Solomon is a Fellow of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada, a member of the Canadian and American Associations of Orthodontists, and a clinical advisory council member of the Journal of Clinical Orthodontics.
Yona brings a great breadth of knowledge and varied experience to our office. She has received many awards for her research and presentations across North America. Yona has worked in private practice, as well as the university and hospital settings for the benefit of her patients, and is a great addition to our office. She will help Dr. Ziedenberg in all aspects of our practice to facilitate patient care.
Outside of dentistry, Yona loves tap dancing and spending time with her husband Adam and their two daughters Hannah and Kyla. Dr. Vandersluis-Solomon looks forward to meeting all our patients this May.
